Unity College, Lucknow hosted a grand farewell ceremony for the students of the class XII batch of 2022-23 on 30th January 2023. The girls and boys of class XI organized the event in unison, to bid a lively and joyful farewell to their seniors. The ceremony commenced with the rendition of the Qur’anic verses. The welcome address by the honourable Secretary, Mr. Najmul Hasan Rizvi, witnessed his desire to see all the students at the great height of success. The program proceeded with MEMENTO PRESENTATION byHon’ble Secretary with the hope that they fair well in life.
A medley of beautiful solo and group farewell songs highlighted the years of camaraderie shared by the students.A title giving ceremony added mirth to the celebration. The most interesting part was the Question Round which was judged by English Teacher, Mr. Rajesh Pandey.
There was a spate of giggling and laughter as the students enjoyed participating in various fun- filled games like ‘Water Challenge’, ‘Cups and Balloons’ and ‘Test your Memory’. The winners of the games were felicitated by Vice Principal, Mr. Sachindra Bharti, Administrative Officer, Mr. Farman Kazmi and Dr. Iqbal. The pick of the day was the skit presented by class XI boys and girls, which highlighted the beautiful moments of school life, which once gone, never come back.
A heart touching shayari by Innama Fatima of class XI B won everybody’s hearts. The ambience was filled with nostalgia as Mohd. Sadiq and Azzaman Abbas presented a power point presentation which led the students to a pathway of memories and reminiscences of their school life.
Principal, Mr. Francis Castelino commended class XII students for smoothly taking on responsibilities and setting a remarkable example for their juniors to follow.
He gave them helpful advice on how to juggle the expectation of their family and society with their own aspirations and concluded by wishing them happiness and success in all future endeavours and inspired them to leave an indelible mark on society and make the school proud.
The ceremony ended with a vote of thanks by Vice Principal, Mr. Sachindra Bharti wishing all the students success in their upcoming ventures.
The hosts impressed everyone by showcasing of their vast repository of skills. The students, teachers and the school management bid their beloved students a warm goodbye and wished them good luck for their future and expressed their joy at having spent a wonderful time with all.
