Unity College embarked on a transformative journey of self-discovery and academic growth, guided by the dedicated team of experts from Extra Marks Education. Led by Mr. Asif Azhar, these counsellors provided invaluable support to help students navigate the challenges and opportunities of their academic and career paths, empowering them to thrive and achieve their goals.
This enlightening journey commenced with a fortnight-long session that began on 12th September, targeting students in classes X and XII. Mr. Asif Azhar commenced with an inspiring counselling address, urging students to plan their academic and career ventures, just as one plans a journey. Stressing the importance of proper planning, commitment, time management, and perseverance, he emphasised that these qualities are paramount for success in life's journey. Furthermore, Mr. Azhar delved into the multitude of career options available across different streams, shedding light on crucial factors to consider while choosing a career and outlining the essential steps in career planning. To conclude, he generously shared a plethora of tips for overall personal development.
The counselling journey continued with precision as the Career Counseling and Online Psychometric tests were meticulously conducted from September 12th to 14th, 2023. Individual reports were generated comprehensively, leading to personalised counselling sessions involving both students and their parents. These sessions thoroughly explored career avenues aligned with students' aptitudes and the market demand, ensuring that they make informed choices for their future.
During the final phase of the counselling session, Ms. Nishi Sharma focused on nurturing the students in the junior section, spanning from classes VI to VIII. She enlightened them on the holistic development of their personalities, emphasising the crucial role of effective communication. Furthermore, she instilled a clear understanding of the significance of having a well-defined future plan, guiding these young minds towards a purposeful and successful journey ahead.
In his vote of thanks, College Secretary Mr. Najmul Hasan Rizvi expressed heartfelt gratitude for the seamless and well-executed series of counselling sessions. He commended Vice Principal Mr. Sachindra Bharti, Counsellor Ms. Nisar Fatima, and Teacher Mr. Monis Naqvi for their expert orchestration of these sessions, emphasising their invaluable contribution to Unity College's mission of fostering well-rounded and accomplished individuals.
