The 19 UP Girls Battalion NCC Cadets of Unity College organised a remarkable cycle rally on January 3, 2025 to commemorate the martyrs of the 1857 Revolt, a watershed moment in India’s struggle for independence. The event was conducted under the guidance of Principal Mr Deepak Mervyn Mathews, Vice Principal Mr Sachindra Bharti, and ANO Ms Nilofer Jafri , who ensured its seamless execution.
Thirty spirited NCC cadets participated in the rally, which began from the College premises and traversed iconic landmarks of historical significance, including Chota Imambada, GhantaGhar, and Bada Imambada. Throughout the route, the cadets displayed unwavering enthusiasm and patriotic fervour, paying homage to the sacrifices of India’s freedom fighters.
The rally was a heartfelt tribute to the brave souls who laid down their lives for the country’s independence during the 1857 Revolt. It aimed to instill in participants and spectators alike a sense of gratitude and respect for the nation’s heritage while rekindling the spirit of patriotism among the youth.
