On February 15, 2025, Gandhi House conducted a special assembly to commemorate the birth anniversary of Imam Mahdi (AJTF) at Unity College. The occasion was graced by the presence of Principal Mr Deepak Mervyn Mathews, Vice Principal Mr Sachindra Bharti, and Headmistress Ms Kainaat Mansoor.
The assembly, hosted by Tasveer Fatima (XI-B), commenced with a divine rendition by Wajeeha Jafri (IX-A), followed by its translation by Zehra Ajaz (IX-A). Hania Zehra (XI-A) then led the school pledge, reinforcing the significance of dedication and unity. Primary students presented a meaningful skit that illustrated an ideal world free from sorrow and suffering upon the reappearance of Imam Mahdi (AJTF). The skit encouraged students to fulfil their duties sincerely to hasten the Imam’s reappearance. The students of the Primary and Secondary Sections paid homage through melodious Qaseedas, including 'Salam Farmande,' while Falak Fatima (XI-C) rendered 'WoAaRaha Hai.'
Hania Zehra (XI-A) delivered an insightful speech on how the youth can play a pivotal role in hastening the Imam’s reappearance through self-improvement and adherence to their responsibilities. Kainat Fatima (VIII-C) conducted an informative quiz, providing valuable insights into the life history of Imam Mahdi (AJTF). Narjis Alam (XI-A) shared a thought for the day, offering inspiration to the attendees.
Principal Mr Mathews concluded the assembly with a motivational speech, urging students to change themselves for the better to prepare for the Imam’s arrival. He also stressed the importance of honesty, sincerity, and discipline as essential principles to be upheld in every aspect of life. He reminded the students to remain focused on their upcoming examinations and strive for excellence.
