An enlightening visit to Sanatkada, near Baradari, was organised on August 29, 2025, for the students of class VII-B to attend the exhibition 'Byscope'. The trip aimed at exploring the ancient history, culture, and art of Lucknow. The visit was accompanied by teachers Mr AtulBatham and Mr Irfan Ahmad, along with Lab In-Charges Mr Rajeev Srivastava and Mr Danish Abidi, who guided and supported the students throughout.
The team at Sanatkada provided a detailed explanation of the true significance of Muharram, along with the art and embroidery associated with Taziya and Alam. The session further highlighted the rich culinary heritage of Lucknow, introducing students to a variety of traditional and delicious historical dishes. A video clip on Muharram was also shown, which deepened the students’ understanding.
The students were fascinated by the intricate embroidery traditions of Lucknow, such as Chikankari and Zardozi, which were displayed in all their beauty and diversity. They were also given the opportunity to purchase selected art and craft objects as souvenirs.
Overall, the visit to the 'Byscope' exhibition proved to be both educational and exciting, offering valuable insights into the cultural richness of Lucknow.
