On September 22, 2025, the Pre-Primary Section of Unity College celebrated Peace Day with enthusiasm, creativity, and heartfelt expressions of friendship. The event, graced by Principal Mr Deepak Mervyn Mathews and Pre-Primary Incharge Ms SabicaZehra, aimed to nurture values of kindness, harmony, and cooperation among our youngest learners through music, art, and interactive activities.

The celebration commenced with a Special Assembly conducted by Class Prep. Through songs and thoughtful expressions, the children conveyed the importance of kindness and understanding in daily life. The highlight of the assembly was the Action Peace Song ‘I Got Peace in My Fingers’, which filled the atmosphere with joy and warmth. Participants included Aqsa Fatima (Prep-C), Ali Rizvi (Prep-B), Marziya Rizvi (Prep-B), Syed Murtuza Abbas (Prep-A), Minhal Mehdi (Prep-A), and Waliya Fatima (Prep-A). Their spirited performance set a tone of togetherness for the day.

Following the performances, Principal Mr Mathews addressed the gathering, explaining peace in simple terms—being kind, sharing, and keeping a happy heart. He encouraged children to use gentle words, spread smiles, and led them in a collective promise to nurture peace and harmony in everyday life.

Subsequently, peace-themed class activities were conducted across all levels. Lower Nursery children engaged in colouring sheets featuring doves, hearts, and the Earth, helping them connect colours with feelings of love and happiness. Upper Nursery pupils took part in the craft activity ‘Hands Around the World’, tracing and cutting handprints, inscribing the words ‘We Can Change the World’, and placing them around a large decorated globe, symbolising the uniting power of little hands. Class Prep students, after their performance, created paper doves and colourful hearts, representing peace, kindness, and love.

The celebration ended on a joyful note, with the children’s artwork and participation reflecting the true spirit of peace, kindness, and togetherness.
