The Aligarh Muslim University Old Boys Association (AMUOBA), Lucknow, conducted an Inter-School Quiz Competition on October 6, 2025, which saw enthusiastic participation from over 200 students representing seven reputed schools from Lucknow and beyond. The felicitation ceremony was held at Indira Gandhi Pratishthan, Gomtinagar, on the eve of Sir Syed Day, October 17. Ayan Ali Mehdi of class XII-A, Unity College, Lucknow, secured the third position and was felicitated by Justice Augustine George Masih, Honourable Judge of the Supreme Court of India. The event was graced by the College Secretary, Mr Najmul Hasan Rizvi, and AMU alumnus and History teacher, Mr Mohd Mohiuddin.
On the occasion, AMU unveiled its annual magazine ‘ Bazm-e-Wafa ’, featuring four articles in English and Hindi authored by Unity College students — Mohammad SajjadBaqri (XI-B) and Syed Mohd Hussain Rizvi (XI-C) in English, Kaval Rizvi (XI-A) and Aamina (IX-A) in Hindi.
Principal Mr Deepak Mervyn Mathews and Vice Principal Mr Sachindra Bharti congratulated the students and Mr Mohd Mohiuddin for bringing honour and recognition to the College. They commended their achievements as a reflection of the Institution’s academic excellence and enduring association with AMU’s rich legacy.
