The Primary Section of Unity College celebrated the vibrant festival of Diwali on October 25, 2025, with a series of creative and engaging activities aimed at nurturing values of creativity, positivity, and cultural appreciation among young learners. Classes 1 and 2 brought their artistic flair to life by designing and decorating diyas and candles using colours, glitter, sequins, paper cuttings, and other decorative materials, creating radiant symbols of light and joy.
Class 3 students showcased their precision and imagination through stunning Rangoli designs on paper, incorporating sparkling stones, stars, and vibrant colours. Class 4 added elegance to the corridors with handmade wall hangings crafted from ribbons, lace, glitter, stickers, and colourful sheets, transforming the space into a miniature festive gallery. Meanwhile, Class 5 students enthusiastically decorated diyas and festive trays, combining vibrant materials to produce captivating displays that resonated with the spirit of Diwali.
Principal Mr Deepak Mervyn Mathews conveyed his heartfelt message, emphasising the importance of celebrating festivals with joy, creativity, and respect for tradition, while encouraging students to imbibe values of kindness, positivity, and cultural awareness in their everyday lives.
The entire event was a delightful celebration of creativity, teamwork, and festive enthusiasm, with classrooms radiating warmth, colour, and joy, truly capturing the essence of the festival of lights.
