Children’s Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm on November 14, 2025, across all sections of Unity College.
In the Pre-Primary Section, children enjoyed a lively assembly packed with quizzes, songs, poems, and fun games, followed by an entertaining NIE puppet show. Classroom celebrations continued with games, card-making, movie screening, and sharing of tiffins and cakes.
For classes I to XII, a special morning assembly was organised under the guidance of Principal Mr Deepak Mervyn Mathews and Vice Principal Mr Sachindra Bharti. The overall incharges, Ms SeemaKazmi and Ms AnamHaider, ensured the smooth and joyful conduct of the programme.
The celebration began with the felicitation of the College Football Team for their remarkable achievements throughout the year. This was followed by exciting games across Sections — 'Beans and Bowl' for the Primary Section, and 'Out of the Box' and 'Guess the Clue' for the Secondary and Senior Secondary students.
A delightful surprise came when Mathematics teacher Mr ShahidulHaq Siddiqui mesmerised the audience with his rendition of 'Hum IntezarKarenge.' The lively atmosphere continued with choir performances: the Secondary and Senior Secondary choir led by Ms Nisar Fatima Rizvi, and the Primary choir led by Ms Afreen Rizvi, presenting Lakdi Ki Kathi and Love You Zindagi.
Vice Principal Mr Bharti enriched the celebration with two meaningful shayaris — 'GirteHainShahsawar' dedicated to the football team, and 'KhudiKoKarBulandItna' for all students. Principal Mr Mathews conveyed warm Children’s Day wishes before the assembly concluded with the National Anthem, followed by the distribution of sweets.
Later in the day, students and teachers enjoyed a friendly football match. The students’ team won, though the teachers put up a tough fight, making the match thrilling and enjoyable for all.
Overall, the day was filled with joy, camaraderie, and unforgettable moments, truly capturing the spirit of Children’s Day at the College.
