The First Aid Day Activity, held on November 29, 2025 for the Pre-Primary Section, brought a lively blend of curiosity and hands-on learning to the classrooms. With guidance from the teaching team and the support of the Pre-Primary Coordinator, Ms SabicaZehra, the activities began seamlessly, offering children simple, enjoyable ways to understand basic first aid concepts.
Lower Nursery learners delighted in a simulated surgery activity, dressed in complete medical attire—including blue hair nets, masks and gloves—and practising pretend procedures on soft toys. This imaginative setup encouraged curiosity, fine motor development and confident interaction. Upper Nursery children added a creative spark by crafting symbolic first aid kits using black chart paper with a glittery red ‘+’, helping them recognise important emergency symbols while showcasing neatness and creativity. Prep students added a practical dimension through a First Aid Box scrapbook activity, using real materials such as band-aids, earbuds and cotton rolls, which allowed them to connect classroom learning with real-life situations.
The event proved purposeful, engaging and well received. Students remained enthusiastic and cooperative throughout, showing growing familiarity with simple first aid tools and concepts. First Aid Day ultimately proved meaningful and memorable, instilling early safety awareness, empathy and confidence, while helping young learners understand the importance of offering help during minor injuries.
