The Annual Essay Cum Elocution Contest 2025 was organised Ms Padma Iyer under the aegis of the Indian Institute of Public Administration (IIPA), UP Regional Branch, with the objective of promoting awareness and encouraging student engagement with issues related to democracy and public welfare. The themes for the contest included ‘Good Governance’ and ‘Artificial Intelligence in Education and Development’. More than 100 students from several city schools participated, submitting entries in both Hindi and English.

Unity College participated enthusiastically, submitting six essays in Hindi and English in September 2025 under the guidance of teachers Ms Mahlaqua Siddiqui and Ms Roopam Gupta. Following a rigorous evaluation process, three students qualified for the second round of the elocution contest held on December 17 at JawaharBhawan. Syed Mohd Hussain Rizvi (XI-C) and Syed Ali Zaidi (XII-D) competed in the English category, while Alish Rizvi (XII-D) represented the Hindi category. Amidst keen competition, Syed Mohd Hussain Rizvi and Alish Rizvi secured second prizes in their respective categories.

The award ceremony was held on January 13, 2026 at the Uttar Pradesh Academy of Administration and Management, where the achievers were felicitated with certificates and cash prizes of ₹4000 each by Mr R Ramani, Chairman, IIPA UP Regional Branch. Students and mentors alike appreciated the contest for providing an enriching academic and learning experience. Principal Mr Deepak Mervyn Mathews and Vice Principal Mr Sachindra Bharti congratulated the students and their mentors for the commendable performance and for bringing laurels to the institution.
