VIBRANT VISIONS: PRIMARY ART AND CRAFT EXHIBITION 2025

With colour, form, and imagination on full display, the Art and Craft Exhibition – Primary Section, Unity College, held on December 20, 2025, opened a window into the creative world of young learners. Students of classes I to V participated with spirited enthusiasm, transforming their classrooms into imaginative learning spaces that reflected originality, coordination, and purposeful effort under dedicated teacher guidance.

The exhibition was graced by the presence of the College Secretary Mr Najmul Hasan Rizvi, Jt Secretary Dr M Talha, Principal Mr Deepak Mervyn Mathews, and Vice Principal Mr Sachindra Bharti. Also present were the College Administrative Officer Mr Farman Kazmi, Primary Section Coordinator Ms Tazeen Rizvi, College Counsellor Ms Nisar Fatima Rizvi, Manager, II Shift Dr Kalbe SibtainNoorie, and Principal, II Shift Ms Shabana Ahmed, along with teachers, parents, and members of the College Secretary’s family, who expressed generous appreciation for the creativity and dedication displayed by the students and teachers.

The programme commenced on a warm and welcoming note, with guests and parents being cordially received. The inauguration was marked by a ribbon-cutting ceremony conducted by Principal Mr Mathews and Vice Principal Mr Bharti, following which Ms Tazeen Rizvi briefly introduced the theme of the exhibition and acknowledged the dedication of students and teachers in bringing the displays to life.

The exhibition unfolded through class-wise thematic presentations, each offering a distinct and engaging experience. Class I, with the theme 'Means of Transport', displayed striking life-size models thoughtfully arranged into land, water, and air transport zones, making learning visual and interactive. Class II, themed 'A Jungle World', transformed the classroom into a lively forest setting with colourful animal models and cut-outs, further animated by students dressed as animals who enthusiastically mimicked sounds. Class III presented 'Cartoon World', captivating visitors with bright, cheerful displays inspired by popular cartoon and fairy-tale characters. Class IV showcased 'Festivals', portraying national and religious celebrations through creative craft models, a thoughtfully arranged festival food corner, and students dressed in themed attire that highlighted cultural diversity. Class V, under the theme 'Mirrors and Lights', created a visually arresting display featuring DIY lamps, mandala art, mosaic and bottle art, glass wall creations, traditional diyas, and mirror curtain drops. The centrepiece of this section was a well-coordinated shadow show and shadow dance, which drew admiration from all present.

The exhibition made a strong impression through its systematic organisation, visual richness, and the confidence with which students explained their work. Guests and parents appreciated the originality of ideas, the finesse of craftsmanship, and the clarity of presentation demonstrated across all classes.

Student-led explanations, cultural elements, and the shadow performance added depth and engagement to the experience. During the vote of thanks, Ms Rizvi expressed sincere gratitude to the dignitaries for their presence and encouragement. The exhibition concluded as a dynamic learning experience, placing students at the centre of creation and communication, and lingered as a quiet reminder that when learning is given space, creativity finds its voice.
