On 6 April 2026, students of Unity College from classes VII to IX attended the 15th International Children’s Film Festival held at City Montessori School, LDA Branch. The students were accompanied by their class and subject teachers—Mr Mohd Mohiuddin, Mr Irfan Ahmad, Mr Atul Batham, Mr Intezar Husain, Mr Santosh Tripathi, Ms Asiya Ansari, Ms Seema Kazmi, Ms Baby Fatima, Ms ArshiaTabassum, and PTI Mr Aamir Ali.

The programme commenced with an all-religion and peace prayer, emphasising unity among nations with the slogan, 'May peace and unity prevail on earth.' Children from different faiths recited prayers, promoting harmony and mutual respect, followed by a presentation where students symbolically represented continents and shared ideas for global peace, along with a message by a child representing the United Nations Organisation.

A lamp-lighting ceremony was held in memory of the Founder of CMS, Dr Jagdish Gandhi. The lamp was lit by distinguished guests along with members of the CMS association. The Chief Guest, Ms MaliniAwasthi, a Padma Shri awardee and renowned folk singer, graced the occasion. Other notable guests included Ms ZanaiBhosle, granddaughter of Ms Asha Bhosle, as well as singers Mr Charanpreet Singh and Mr Harjaspreet Singh.

The students watched several films during the festival. One animated film, created by graphic designers, conveyed a powerful message against discrimination and comparison among individuals. Another film, Mera School, depicted the true story of an underprivileged boy striving for education but facing obstacles due to family pressures.

The visit proved to be both educational and inspiring. The students thoroughly enjoyed the experience and returned with valuable lessons on unity, peace, and perseverance, along with cherished memories.
