    “Art is the most intense mode of individualism that the world has known.” Oscar Wilde Unity College hosted the Zonal Level Art& Painting Competition 2019 for Zone A& B in both Junior and Senior categories on 20th July, 2019. The event was designed and organized by the Association of Schools for the Indian School Certificate (ASISC), UP & UK with an aim to provide a single platform for the budding artists to vie for the best entry.The competition witnessed an overwhelming response from 30 city schools competing enthusiastically for the coveted prizes. The eminent artists Ms. MansiDidwania-Director Kalasrot Art Gallery, Ms. Anita Narain-Artist, Bonsai Practitioner, Art Collector and Sitarist, and Ms. Varsha Srivastava-President of Empower Skill Foundation and World Record Holder in Paper Jewellery Making graced the occasion as the Jury members. Principal Mr. Francis Castelino welcomed the participating students and their teachers. He exhorted the participants to dedicate and commit themselves towards making their master pieces. The themes for Juniors andSeniors were ‘The World of my Dreams’ and ‘MirrorReflection’ respectively. The Topics were announced on the spot before the splash of colours on canvas buzzed the arena of creativity at sharp 9:30 a.m. The young artists created eye-feasting sights of colourful imagination, innovative ideas and aesthetic exploration within the stipulated time of two hours. The day of creativity and colours culminated with agrand panorama of a variety of aesthetic expression.
