  • Unity Strikes Richer Dividend For ICSE ISC 2019 Yet Again

    Unity College secured 100% result with average aggregate of 81.22% in ISC and 75.58% in ICSE. A total of 116 students appeared for ISC, out of which 20 students scored 90% and above while 48 students scored 80% and above. In ICSE, out of 116 students, 10 students stole the merit limelight of 90% and above, where as 29 students scored 80% and above. Overall, it is better than the last years’ scores and a brilliant result for the College, students and their parents. Kaunain Zehra who topped the ISC with 95.50%, scored a perfect 100 in Physical Education and 99 in Mathematics. The Second topper Khizra Hashmi who obtained 95.25% lesser by a margin of 0.25%, also scored 100 in Biotechnology and Physical Education “I focused on the classroom teaching and did thorough study at home”, said Khizra who wishes to be a Cardiologist. Though she had been active on Instagram and Whatsappearlier she detached herself completely from the social media for one month prior to the Boards. Aashi Siddiqui, who is the ICSE topper with 93.60% aggregate, dreams of a career in Medical Sciences. She said, “self- study and hardwork are sufficient to clinch the top notch”. SatakshiAnand who secured the Second place with 93%, scored 99 marks in Computer Application. She is eyeing the Civil Services, loves to crack competitions, and does craft work in her leisure time. She kept no mobile or account on social media. She said, “My good teachers and supportive parents are behind my success.” Two days after the result declaration, on 9th May, 2019, the star achievers of 90% plus, along with their parents were honoured in a short felicitation program held in the College. Founder President Dr. S. Kalbe Sadiq who has been down with a long illness, conveyed his blessings to all the successful children. He stressed on excellence in education. The function was graced by College Secretary Mr. Najmul Hasan Rizvi, Joint Secretary Dr. M. Talha and Principal Mr. Francis Castelino. Mr. Rizvi congratulated the meritorious students and wished them a bright future. He also advised them to opt for career courses through competitions and choose well established institutions only. Dr. Talha and Mr. Castelino congratulated the students, their parents and especially their teachers of course; it’s the diligent team work that has made all the students pass with flying colours.
