"Graduation is not the end; it's the beginning." - Senator Orrin Hatch Indeed, the Prep Graduation Ceremony is a warm goodbye to the cuddling lessons of Pre-Primary classrooms as well as an exciting welcome to the challenges of formal school beginning at class I. The day brings with it a roller coaster of emotions for the grads and their parents alike. Unity College celebrated the Prep Graduation Day 2020 on 13th March to felicitate the young graduates of Pre-School. Ms.Nutan Singh- Principal, Vidyagyan School, Shiv Nadar Foundation, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. Principal Mr. Francis Castelino formally welcomed the dignitaries, parents and the audience, and said as is the College motto 'Excellence in Education', it works for quality education to reach the marginalised section of the society and also monitor keenly the employability of the students. Ms. Nutan said she had a wonderful time watching the fabulous Programme. She urged the teachers and the parents not to curb the child's creative &imaginative skills, not to condition their minds about the aim of life, but persuade them to be good humans first, and to be able to differentiate between right and wrong, and also to imbibe the rich values and ethics. College Secretary Mr. Najmul Hasan Rizvi was overwhelmed by the excellent performance- so impressive, so synchronized and didactic too. He said the parents should not fully depend on the school alone for their wards' holistic development, but give their contribution as well to make these kids shine brightly like distinct stars. The function waved a soulful beginning as the children rendered the Holy Scriptures to invoke the divine blessings. And His Grace was felt too as all through the open programme the weather was pleasant, but no sooner did it mark the end, showers started. First in the order was the mesmerizing action song 'Ektu hi sahara' by the little performers of Upper Nursery. That was indeed a phenomenal, musical show bringing home the message of peace against atrocities and violence. It was followed by a mind-blowing skit based on the adverse transitions in life style caused by mobile addiction and its ill effects. And the immediate response was loud applauses. The most important part of the event was the felicitation wherein the proud tiny tots of Preparatory dressed in Graduation Robes and Caps marched smartly on the dais to receive their scrolls of honour. Broad smiles writ large on their faces marking the jubilious achievement. The day culminated on the high notes of big dreams and best wishes.
