Extra Marks launched the Total Learning App and for introducing the App, they created a ‘Total Learning Summit’, which is started by the company as a leadership series across the country to discuss new disruptions in digital learning. In Lucknow also the summit was organized on 4th August 2017 at Hotel Taj, Representatives of many prestigious schools attended the summit. From Unity College also Ms. Nisar Fatima and Ms. Rana Hasan attended the summit. The agenda of the Total Learning Summit was to explore the possibilities of ‘Bridging the Gap’ fromIn school to After-school for a learner. The Key speakers Retd. Major General KunwarVijay Singh Lalotra, an advisor toExtra Marks, Education, Mr. SarveshGoel, Chairman G D Goneka School Lucknow, Ms. Gurpreet Kaur, G D Goneka Ajmer, Dr. PrernaMitra and Ms. Mala Verma enlightened the audience with their vision and journey of adoption of technology to make education more enriching and personalized, throughout their academic career globally. The session was started and initiated by Maj. Gen Lalotra. He unveiled the endeavour of Extra Marks- total learning which is based on three pronged approach of ‘Learning, Practicing and Testing’. Information about the first among the many steps where Extra Marks Education Foundation has undertaken towards the fulfillment of its vision of achieving social equity through quality education was also given. That step is ‘PEHAL’ which means initiative. They showed that how they have transformed the learning establishments and the poor infrastructure of a school in Ghaziabad. Kanya Vedic Inter College.Pehal has also provided a smart study tab to a student of grade X,Jyoti, who is a bright student and wants to be an IAS Officer but belongs to a family of limited means. This summit was a promising stepping stone of Total Learning to make the teaching fraternity explore new horizonsand impact enhanced learning outcomes.
