To commemorate India's victory over Pakistan in the Kargil War and pay homage to the valorous soldiers, Kargil Vijay Diwas was celebrated on 25th July, 2023.

The children from classes I, II & III actively participated in various hands-on activities to pay tribute to the gallant soldiers. Class I students expressed their gratitude to the soldiers by making cards adorned with tri-coloured flowers. Meanwhile, Class II students eagerly engaged in a soldier-making activity, crafting fabulous soldier models. Class III students enthusiastically took part in a slogan writing activity, creating catchy slogans centered around freedom fighters and their significant role in our lives and contributions to our country. The event helped young students grasp the significance of Kargil Diwas and appreciate the sacrifices of our brave soldiers.

As part of the celebration and to acquaint the students with the heroic stories of the Kargil War, an Inter-House Kargil Quiz Competition was conducted for students from classes IV and V.

The Jt. Secretary of the College, Dr. M. Talha, and the Principal, Mr. Francis Castelino, graced the event with their esteemed presence. The patriotic event commenced with a soulful recitation of the Holy Quran by Mohd. Mehdi, of III-B. The Quiz Competition was designed to be both engaging and informative, consisting of three rounds: General Knowledge, Multiple-Choice Questions, and Visual. The Quiz Mistress, skillfully posed intriguing questions covering Indian History, the valour of soldiers, and various aspects of the Kargil War, which were answered enthusiastically and accurately by the zealous teams.

All the participants demonstrated remarkable knowledge, making the competition highly engaging. The Principal, Mr. Francis Castelino, announced the winners of the nail-biting competition, with Iqbal House clinching the first position, followed by Gandhi House and Tagore House earning the second & third position respectively. He congratulated the winners and praised the students for being well prepared. The Headmistress, Ms. Kainaat Mansoor, delivered the Vote of Thanks, congratulating all the participants, particularly the winners, for putting up a good show. She commended the hard work of the entire team of the Primary Section and motivated the students to prepare for other competitions in the future. The competition concluded with the recitation of the National Anthem.
