To commemorate Hindi Diwas, Unity College embraced a spirited atmosphere of enthusiasm. The Primary Section conducted a special assembly with great enthusiasm on 13th September, 2023, showcasing the significance of Hindi as theRashraBhasha. The assembly began with the recitation of the Holy Quran, followed by the recitation of the pledge in Hindi and a Prarthana underscoring the importance of Hindi Diwas. The highlight of the assembly was an engaging Hindi language Quiz designed to enhance the students’ knowledge of the language. 

Another morning assembly on 14th September bythe Secondary and Senior Secondary Sections showcased energetic participation from the students. Yumna Zaidi of XI-A delivered a speech highlighting the cultural significance of Hindi. Noor Fatima of XI-D conducted a Quiz on idioms and proverbs, testing the students' knowledge of Hindi expressions. Wasiya Zehra of XI-D administered the Hindi pledge.

The celebration continued on 16th September with engaging class-specific activities.Class I actively participated in ‘MatraGyanKriya,’ while class II showcased their creativity through ‘ChitrBanakarVarnan.’ Classes III and IV displayed their creative skills in ‘RachnatmakLekhan.’ The highlight of the day was the Debate on the topic ‘Video Game Baccho Ke LiyeHanikarak Hai.’ The engaging Debate ensured the active participation of the students from class V, promoting healthy debating skills. The event was graced by the esteemed presence of College Secretary-Mr. Najmul Hasan Rizvi, Jt. Secretary-Dr. M. Talha, Principal- Mr. Francis Castelino, Vice Principal- Mr. Sachindra Bharti, and Headmistress- Ms. Kainaat Mansoor.

The Winners of the Competition were as follows:

Best Speaker (Against)- Yusuf Abbas V-A
Best Team: Tagore House (Saquib Ahmed V C &Rameeza Fatima –V A)

Simultaneously, classes VI and above participated in an Essay Writing Competition, which covered diverse topics such as 'VidhyarthiJeevan Me Anushasan', 'GoanBhalaYaSheher', 'Sare Jahan Se Accha Hindustan Hamara' for the Juniors and 'Chand par Jane kihodkahin Chand ke astitva ke liyekhatra to nahi?', 'Nar Ho Na NiraashKaro Mann Ko', 'Dhan Se Sab KuchPraptKiyaNahiJaSakta' for the Seniors.

Principal Mr. Francis Castelino stressed Hindi as a unifying force that should be embraced by people across the nation, regardless of their geographical locations.

The Hindi Diwas celebrations at the College were a resounding success and served as a vibrant reminder of the importance of the Hindi language and its role in uniting people across the nation.
