Unity College's students from Classes XI and XII embarked on an enlightening educational tour to the State Bank of India's Main Branch in Lucknow on 16th September, 2023. Organized by the Commerce Department, this visit aimed to familiarize students with fundamental financial concepts such as opening bank accounts, understanding various account types, staying updated on banking trends, and gaining basic knowledge of cheque transactions. Students were accompanied by the three Senior Secondary Commerce Teachers- Ms. Ghazala Jafri, Mr. S. Kazim Imam and Mr. Ishan Derick Singh. 

Mr. RiteshMalviya, the Salary Head of the bank, played an instrumental role in enlightening the students about the bank's day-to-day operations. Students were not only given insights into banking procedures but also had the privilege of visiting the heritage gallery, which showcased the rich history of the bank.

A gesture of appreciation was extended to Ms. Kiran Chaudhary, Manager Personal, who received a box of sweets as a token of gratitude from the teachers. This trip offered students an invaluable understanding of the diverse roles played by bank employees, including witnessing the sealing of a locker by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) and experiencing the live functioning of the bank.

The visit became a reality thanks to the dedication of two exceptional individuals, DGM Rajesh Meena and LMB AnuragAsthana. The teachers and students wholeheartedly expressed their gratitude to them for providing this valuable opportunity.

Overall, the visit to SBI Main Branch was a remarkable learning experience, shedding light on the day to day working of the banking industry and its intricate details.
