Unity College hosted an inspiring Essay Writing and Poster Making Competition for classes IX–XII on May 9 in collaboration with CSIR and CIMAP under the Scientist Students Connect Programme (Jigyasa).
Guided by Ms Huma Rizvi, HOD Biology Department and supported by CSIR coordinators Ms Pragya Trivedi and Ms Pooja Sharma, the event aimed to extend classroom learning through research-based activities.
The topics, 'India in 2050' for essays and 'Industry 4.0' for posters, sparked enthusiasm among participants, who showcased their talent and creativity. Principal Mr Deepak Mervyn Mathews, Vice Principal Mr Sachindra Bharti, Headmistress Ms Kainaat Mansoor and College Counsellor Ms Nisar Fatima extended their best wishes to the participants.
Principal, Mr Deepak Mervyn Mathews, received a token of appreciation from Ms Trivedi and Ms Sharma for facilitating the smooth conduct of the event. The event wrapped up with group photographs of the participants captured by Mr Mirza Saif Husain.
The competition, centered on contemporary themes, provided a platform for students to contemplate the future of science and technology. It not only engaged participants but also encouraged them to ponder the implications of technological advancements on society, making it a truly thought-provoking event.
