On June 28, 2024, the Pre-Primary Section of the College celebrated Eid-e-Ghadeer with enthusiasm and creativity, educating students about its significance in Islamic history through engaging activities.
Students in Lower Nursery participated in a hands-on activity where they affixed ice cream sticks to cutouts of hands, decorating them intricately. This activity aimed to illustrate Eid-e-Ghadeer’s five actions: handshakes, prayers, salwat, sharing sweets, and wearing new clothes. Through this, our young learners grasped the establishment of Islam and Hazrat Ali’s (AS) role as Prophet Muhammad’s (PBUH) successor.
In Upper Nursery, students crafted gift wraps filled with candies and chocolates, creatively using surgical masks and colourful ribbons to adorn their creations. This activity emphasised the importance of sharing and spreading joy on Eid-e-Ghadeer, teaching values of generosity and camaraderie.
Class Prep students expressed their understanding of Eid-e-Ghadeer by crafting green turbans decorated with fluorescent sheets. These turbans symbolically represented Prophet Mohammad’s (PBUH) appointment of Ali IbnAbiTalib (AS) as his successor. Decorated with artistic flair, these activities provided visual insights into the historical significance of the occasion and allowed students to showcase their creativity.
Throughout the day, students enthusiastically participated in these activities, gaining a deep understanding of the historical and cultural significance of Eid-e-Ghadeer. The dedication and efforts of our teachers in organising these activities were outstanding, promoting educational growth and fostering cultural appreciation among our Pre-Primary students.
