Unity College participated with great enthusiasm in Expression 2024—an Inter-College Literary and Cultural Festival hosted by St Francis College from November 4 to 6, 2024.
Unitians achieved remarkable success, winning the Second prize in the Elomime Competition. This unique event required a team of ten participants—five for elocution and five for mime acting—who collaborated seamlessly to deliver a memorable performance.
The talented team consisted of Rohma Arif (IX-B), Midhat Fatima (IX-B), Insiya Rizvi (IX-B), Iman Butool (IX-B), Lubaba Naqvi (IX-A), Wajeeha Jafri (IX-A), Yashra Fatima (IX-C), Haniya Zehra (XI-A), Mantasha Naseer (XI-A), and Basilah Husain (XI-A). They were accompanied by their dedicated teachers, Ms Fatima Naseem, Ms Sarah Abbas, and Ms Farheen Fatima Naqvi, who meticulously prepared the students for this competition, along with student assistant Hadiqatuz Zehra (IX-B).
The team’s captivating Elomime act, titled 'The Great Green Rescue', was based on an original, self-composed poem, celebrating teamwork and courage. Their powerful performance resonated with the audience and earned high praise from the judges for its creativity and impactful message.
Principal Mr Deepak Mervyn Mathews congratulated the winners and provided valuable insights for enhancing their future performances, applauding their hard work and artistic skills.
