ARTISTIC EXCELLENCE OF UNITIANS AT 'JASHN-E-SHIRIN ZABAN'

On November 9, 2024, the Uttar Pradesh Urdu Academy organised the 'Jashn-e-ShirinZaban' event at the Urdu Academy Auditorium in Gomtinagar, Lucknow, celebrating the beauty and elegance of the Urdu language. Unity College students, accompanied by their Urdu teachers, Ms Nilofer Jafri and Ms SayyadaKaneez Abbas, actively participated in the event, which coincided with Urdu Day. A highlight of the celebration was a Calligraphy Exhibition, where Unity College students demonstrated their artistic skills through remarkable calligraphy pieces, each embodying the grace of the script. The artistry on display drew admiration from all attendees, who praised the students for their dedication and talent. In recognition of their contributions, the participating students received certificates, while Ms Jafri and Ms Abbas were awarded trophies as a mark of appreciation. Principal Mr Deepak Mervyn Mathews commended the students and teachers for their outstanding efforts, noting that the exhibition served as an inspiring platform for youth to explore the traditional art of calligraphy and engage in preserving its cultural heritage.
