On December 17, 2024, Unity College organised an enlightening and impactful hygiene workshop in collaboration with Procter and Gamble, aimed at educating young female students about menstrual health and hygiene. The workshop was designed to empower students with proper knowledge about natural cycles and to promote good hygiene practices, thus boosting their morale and fostering confidence.
The session was led by the distinguished resource person, Ms Anupma, who addressed the girls of Classes VI. Her informative talk was met with keen interest and engagement as she explained the menstrual cycle, its biological significance, and how to manage it responsibly in an environmentally-friendly way. She emphasised the importance of using biodegradable products, encouraging the students to adopt sustainable practices in their daily lives.
The session also included visual aids, including pictorial clips, which provided a clear, comprehensive, and engaging overview of the subject matter. These visuals made the learning experience more interactive and easy to grasp, ensuring that the students understood the key concepts.
At the end of the workshop, Ms Anupma distributed sanitary napkins and informative booklets to all the attendees, ensuring that each student had access to essential resources for maintaining good hygiene.
The event was meticulously coordinated by College Counsellor Ms Nisar Fatima Rizvi. This informative session was a significant step in promoting female health and hygiene, empowering them with the knowledge and tools to maintain their health with confidence.
