The Pre-Primary Section of Unity College celebrated the joy and spirit of Christmas on December 21, 2024, with vibrant activities that filled the day with excitement and creativity. The event was designed to blend festive cheer with artistic expression, as students arrived in their Christmas attire, complete with Santa caps, ready to participate in engaging activities. These activities aimed to help children understand the significance of Christmas while promoting teamwork and kindness.
The day began with class-specific activities that allowed students to showcase their imagination and skills. Lower Nursery students created Christmas trees using folding sheets into beautiful shapes and decorating them with straws and other embellishments. Upper Nursery students crafted Santa caps from sheets and ribbons, adding decorative touches before pasting them into their scrapbooks. Prep students designed glittery Christmas trees, decorating them uniquely to reflect their creativity and enthusiasm.
The celebration focused on fostering essential skills and values among the children. The objectives included encouraging self-expression through arts and crafts, developing social skills through group activities, and emphasising the values of kindness and sharing, which are central to the spirit of Christmas.
