WEBINAR FOR PLANNING, STUDYING, AND CRACKING CSE: IAS-IPS

On January 26, 2025, an interactive webinar was organised by the Andhra Pradesh State Waqf Board to guide students from classes IX to XII for the preparation of the Civil Services Examination (CSE). The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from students of both shifts of Unity College. Teachers who attended the session included Ms Nisar Fatima Rizvi, Mr Monis Naqvi, Ms Ghazala Jafri, and Ms Sarah Abbas.

The session commenced with a divine rendition, setting a reflective tone. The Chief Guest, Dr AneesCherkunnath (IRS, Customs and Indirect Taxes), shared his inspiring life journey, highlighting the pivotal role of correct guidance and making informed choices to achieve success. This was followed by IAS Officer Mr M ArizAhammed, who emphasised critical thinking, problem-solving, and accepting diversity through real-life examples. He elaborated on the three pillars of success: Education, Excellence, and Leadership.

Mr Ahammed explained the functions of the government, its divisions, and its necessity, supporting his points with practical examples. He stressed the significance of early goal setting, discussing its prerequisites and objectives. The webinar provided detailed insights into cracking the CSE, focusing particularly on IAS, IPS, and IFS roles. Eligibility criteria, the exam pattern, and data analysis were presented, while students were advised to dedicate 10 hours a day to studies, 8 hours to sleep, and the remaining time to upgrading knowledge, recreation, and prayers.

A comprehensive list of optional subjects was shown, with a strong emphasis on selecting them wisely in alignment with long-term goals. Students were introduced to a self-checklist, encouraging them to remain honest, associate with like-minded individuals, take their goals seriously, and select the best study materials and strategies. They were urged to stay self-motivated while enjoying the process.

Parents were advised to motivate their children to enrol in prestigious colleges and universities across India. The importance of improving vocabulary and general knowledge through reading books and newspapers was also underscored. Periodic interactions during the session tested the students’ understanding of the content.

The session concluded with a question-and-answer round, where students’ doubts were addressed. The webinar offered comprehensive guidance on planning, studying, and succeeding in CSE examinations, inspiring students to aim for excellence and contribute to the nation’s development through efficient service.
