On April 10, 2025, students from Unity College (Classes IV to IX) attended the 14th CMS Lucknow International Children’s Film Festival at City Montessori School, LDA Branch. The festival promotes world unity and peace through children's films and fosters international cooperation.
The program began with CMS's 'All Religions' prayer, reflecting unity through cultural performances, including dances and interfaith prayers. Ms. Bina Krishna, the event anchor, welcomed guests, including Festival Director Mr. R.K. Singh and celebrities like actor Imran Khan and scientist Dr. Anil Rastogi.
The ceremonial lighting of the lamp was done by the Principals of participating schools and special guests. Students then watched a series of short films, including Flying Wheels (a documentary on underprivileged skaters in Mumbai), Pehchan (a silent animated film on unity), and Kun (a Middle Eastern film on forgiveness). The final film, Buntu Ki Toli, emphasised the power of teamwork.
At the end of the event, Unity College’s English teacher Ms. Farheen Fatima Naqvi received a certificate and trophy on behalf of the College, marking a proud moment for all Unitians. The event encouraged global awareness and creativity among students.
