The Pre-Primary Section of Unity College organised a Republic Day–themed activity on January 24, 2026, to mark the occasion and celebrate the values of freedom, unity and patriotism through age-appropriate creative experiences. The programme was conducted under the guidance of the Pre-Primary Coordinator, Ms SabicaZehra, with the objective of familiarising young learners with the significance of the national day in an engaging and meaningful manner.
The celebration featured a range of hands-on activities that actively engaged the children and helped them understand national pride in an enjoyable way. The atmosphere was vibrant and festive, with children wearing tricolour wristbands and caps while proudly waving small national flags. Tricolour balloons and creative materials enhanced the colourful ambience, encouraging enthusiasm, cooperation and joyful participation.
Class-wise activities were carefully planned to suit the developmental needs of the learners. In Lower Nursery, children created tricoloured flower bunches using pom-poms and orange and green pipe cleaners, which were pasted in their scrapbooks, strengthening fine motor skills and colour recognition. Upper Nursery students designed tricoloured badges using punch paper, ribbons and crayons, which they wore with pride, fostering patriotic values. Prep students decorated the national bird, the peacock, using paper plates, blue glitter powder, crayons and decorative materials, enabling them to learn about national symbols while expressing creativity.
The Republic Day activity was colourful, lively and meaningful, leaving the children with a joyful sense of patriotism.
