Republic Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm and patriotic fervour at the College on January 26, 2026. The programme commemorated the adoption of the Constitution of India and reflected the true spirit of unity, democracy, and national pride.
The occasion was graced by distinguished dignitaries including Managing Committee member Mr Ali Khan from Mehmoodabad, Jt Secretary Dr M Talha, Principal Mr Deepak Mervyn Mathews, Administrative Officer Mr Farman Kazmi, UEP Academic Advisor Ms Tahseen Zaidi, Principal ITI Mr S R Khan, Vice Principal ITI Mr Syed RaeesKazim, Principal (II Shift) Ms Shabana Ahmed, and Vice Principal (II Shift) Mr Ammar Rizvi. The celebration commenced with the unfurling of the National Flag by the guests, followed by the soulful rendition of the National Anthem by the College Choir, filling the atmosphere with pride and reverence.
The cultural segment featured inspiring speeches and performances by students from different sections. Taharat of class IX (II Shift) delivered a thought-provoking speech in Hindi, while Inaya Fatima of LN-A impressed the audience with her confident English speech, highlighting the significance of Republic Day. The Primary Section students presented a patriotic song, ‘VandeMataram’ from the movie Fighter, paying heartfelt tribute to the motherland and the sacrifices of freedom fighters.
Aliya Fatima of class VIII-A delivered an insightful Hindi speech emphasising the importance of the Indian Constitution, while Bushra Fatima (IX-A) added a melodious touch with her song ‘Ae Mere PyareWatan’. Zaheen Fatima of class VII-B presented an informative English speech narrating the historical journey of India becoming a sovereign Republic.
Addressing the gathering, Jt Secretary Dr Talha spoke about the values enshrined in the Constitution and encouraged students to be responsible citizens who contribute positively to the nation’s progress. His words were both motivating and inspiring.
The programme concluded with a vote of thanks proposed by Principal Mr Mathews, expressing gratitude to all guests, participants, and organisers. The Republic Day celebration was marked by a spirit of patriotism and civic responsibility among all present.
