A TRIBUTE TO IMAM-E-ZAMANA (AJTF) AT UNITY

Unity College resonated with devotion, reverence, and spiritual fervour as it celebrated 15th Shaban, the auspicious birth anniversary of Imam-e-Zamana (AJTF). A special assembly was thoughtfully organised on February 5, 2026, by the Department of Theology, reflecting deep faith and meaningful reflection.

The programme commenced with a soulful Qur’anicTilawat rendered by teacher Ms Kaneez Abbas, followed by its lucid translation by Raheeq Fatima (VIII-A), setting a serene and contemplative tone for the assembly. A delightful sequence of events unfolded thereafter. The highlight was a captivating skit presented by students of classes I and II, which beautifully portrayed devotion and strengthened the emotional connection with Imam-e-Zamana (AJTF). The performance left the audience deeply motivated. Adding to the spiritual ambience, BushraMirza  (IX-A) rendered melodiously the Manqabat ‘Haale-e-GhamSunaayenge Jab Imam Aayenge’, while students of classes IV and V presented  the mellifluous Qaseeda ‘Salam Farmande’ in complete reverence and obeisance. The programme was anchored with grace and confidence by Areeba Mehdi (VIII-B), who ensured a smooth flow of the proceedings.

Maulana Arshad Husain, Theology Teacher, enlightened the students with profound words of wisdom. He explained that Imam-e-Zamana (AJTF) is in occultation and is revered as the Imam of the Time. Emphasising the value of time, he reminded the students of the Founder President, Late Dr Kalbe Sadiq Saheb, who was widely known for his punctuality in every event and commitment. He exhorted the students to be punctual, stressing that time does not acknowledge those who waste it. He further reflected that on the Day of Judgement, the dwellers of Hell will deeply regret having squandered their time. He also guided the students on the true way of awaiting the Imam—by being dutiful, shunning evil deeds, and embracing righteousness and good conduct.

Addressing the gathering, Principal Mr Deepak Mervyn Mathews urged the students to introspect and recognise the importance of time in their lives. He reminded them that preparation for the Day of Revelation requires conscious and responsible living, as every action is being observed and judged in Heaven. He emphasised that the best way forward is to lead a meaningful and righteous life—respecting and obeying others, refraining from humiliation, lies, backbiting, and wrongful acts, and following in the noble footsteps of great personalities.

The assembly concluded on a note of deep reflection, inspiring students to live responsibly, value time, and uphold moral and spiritual virtues in their daily lives.
