On 15 August 2026, the College celebrated the 80th Independence Day with great zeal and patriotic fervour. The event was graced by the presence of the Jt Secretary Dr M Talha, Principal Mr Deepak Mervyn Mathews, Vice Principal Mr Sachindra Bharti, Principal II Shift Ms Shabana Ahmed and Principal ITI Mr S R Khan.
The programme commenced with the flag-hoisting ceremony, conducted by the distinguished dignitaries, followed by the National Anthem rendered by the NCC Choir Group. The celebration featured a series of inspiring speeches in English by the Head Girl, Aamra Fatima (XII-C), ShifaBahadur (L N-A, II Shift), and Areeba Kazmi (U N-A, II Shift). The Hindi speeches were delivered by Ishba Rizvi (X, II Shift) and the Hindi Literary In-Charge, Innama Jafri (XI-A).
Ms Shabana Ahmed concluded the event by congratulating all the participants for their enthusiastic involvement. She urged everyone to discharge their duties sincerely and responsibly and to remain committed to protecting the hard-earned freedom of the nation.
The celebration concluded on a patriotic note, reminding everyone that true independence is strengthened when citizens uphold their responsibilities, cherish unity and work towards the progress of the nation.
