On 11 September 2026, the Pre-Primary Section of Unity College bubbled over with joyful excitement as the little learners of Lower Nursery, Upper Nursery, and Prep celebrated Red Day. Dressed in radiant shades of crimson, the children proudly shared red objects brought from home and discovered vibrant red treats in their tiffins. The red-themed setting added to the festive feel and encouraged them to identify and talk about the colour around them. The occasion was graced by the Principal, Mr Deepak Mervyn Mathews, and Pre-Primary Coordinator, Ms SabicaZehra.

Throughout the morning, each classroom became a buzzing hub of creative delight. LN-A crafted cheerful ladybugs, while LN-B created glittery apples and LN-C enjoyed colouring apples in their scrapbooks with earbuds, along with sharing red treats such as pancakes, pomegranate, and apples in their tiffins.

UN-A transformed into a little group of ladybugs with delightful ladybug crowns, while UN-B created bright, dotted mushrooms and UN-C fashioned charming 3D strawberries. Each activity brought its own sprinkle of creativity and excitement.

Meanwhile, Prep-A created cheerful strawberries, Prep-B crafted heart-adorned strawberries, and Prep-C made bright red tulips using cut-outs and ice-cream sticks. The children enthusiastically explored, created, and proudly admired their colourful masterpieces.

These delightful hands-on activities wonderfully reinforced colour recognition while boosting fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination, concentration, creativity, and confidence.

The celebration concluded on an exceptionally happy note, leaving behind a treasure trove of bright memories. By learning through play, the children gained a delightful understanding of the colour red. The event proved to be a resounding success, filled with laughter, sparkling creativity, and meaningful learning moments that the young learners will fondly cherish.
