Unity College has always believed that education goes beyond academics, embracing creativity and self-expression as vital aspects of a student’s growth. In keeping with this vision, a Creative Writing Competition was held for students of classes VI to XII on July 21, 2025 . The event was designed to inspire originality, encourage critical thinking, and provide young minds with a meaningful outlet to articulate their ideas through writing.
Participants were presented with a wide spectrum of imaginative and thought-provoking themes, each thoughtfully selected to suit their respective age groups. Students explored the idea of social media as fun or stressful, the future of artificial intelligence, memorable book characters, life without gravity, and even imagined if animals could talk. The competition also inspired reflection on personal and serious concerns, with participants highlighting the silent struggles of toppers, the pressures of career choices, and how history might have differed if given the power to alter it.
Students had the freedom to express their thoughts in the form of essays, stories, or poems. The submissions reflected remarkable originality, thoughtful insights, and a command of language that highlighted both talent and maturity. The competition truly celebrated the spirit of literary exploration while nurturing the creative instincts of Unity’s budding writers.
